چکیده

The reference paths between original sources and reference sensors in multichannel feedforward active noise control (ANC) systems are often ignored by most ANC algorithms. Therefore, a two-stage adaptive algorithm in the frequency domain is proposed to deal with several of the more complicated cases, specifically addressing instances when the reference sensors must be placed far away from the noise sources. This two-stage system includes a blind pre-processing system cascaded with a traditional MFxLMS system; both systems operate in the frequency domain. The new algorithm can eliminate the effect of reference paths by performing blind pre-processing independently. The MFxLMS algorithm in the following stage can achieve faster convergence than the traditional algorithm without blind pre-processing. The computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is analysed and a numerical simulation using impulse responses measured in a real reverberant room is performed to verify the convergence performance of the proposed algorithm. †Member of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV)

Several approaches have been introduced in literature for active noise control (ANC)systems. Since Filtered-x-Least Mean Square (FxLMS) algorithm appears to be the best choice as acontroller filter. Researchers tend to improve performance of ANC systems by enhancing andmodifying this algorithm. This paper proposes a new version of FxLMS algorithm. In many ANCapplications an online secondary pat...

An Optimized Online Secondary Path Modeling Method for Single-Channel Feedback ANC Systems

This paper proposes a new method for online secondary path modeling in feedback active noise control (ANC) systems. In practical cases, the secondary path is usually time-varying. For these cases, online modeling of secondary path is required to ensure convergence of the system. In literature the secondary path estimation is usually performed offline, prior to online modeling, where in the prop...

The Convergence Analysis of Feedforward Active Noise Control System

Most active noise control (ANC) systems [1-3] are based on feedforward structure with adaptive filters, which are updated with the filtered-x LMS algorithm [4, 5] or the multiple error filtered-x (MEFX) LMS algorithm [6, 7]. The convergence characteristics of these algorithms have been studied mostly in the time domain, and it was found that the convergence characteristics were subject to eigen...

Multichannel active noise control algorithms using inverse filters

1.0 Introduction For active noise control (ANC) systems, a common approach is to use adaptive FIR filters trained with the filtered-x LMS algorithm [1], for both feedforward systems and Internal Model Control (IMC) feedback systems, in monochannel or multichannel systems. Variations of the algorithm sometimes called the modified filtered-x LMS algorithm have been published [2], which can achiev...

Active Noise Cancellation using Online Wavelet Based Control System: Numerical and Experimental Study

Reaction wheels (RWs) used for attitude control of space vehicle systems usually encounter with undesired wide band noises. These noises which significantly affect the performance of regulator controller must tune the review or review rate of RWs. According to wide frequency band of noises in RWs the common approaches of noise cancellation cannot conveniently reduce the effects of the noise. Th...
